Helen June Hamilton

Helen June Hamilton, 92 of Springfield passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 at her home.

She was born June 14, 1933 in Auburn, the daughter of James Ray “Bud” and Helen Sudan Nuckols.  She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey and one sister, Phyllis Spence.

June retired from the University of Illinois Springfield after 33 years.

She enjoyed having get togethers with her close friends, Candy Powers and Everett Bell.

Surviving are one daughter, Carol Hamilton; one grandson, Geoffrey Hamilton; one brother, Jim (Carolyn Louise) Nuckols; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
