Grover S. Sargeant

Grover S. Sargeant, 90 of Raymond formerly of Auburn passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at his home.

He was born February 11, 1935 in Ewing, MO; the son of John and Elizabeth Short Sergent.

Grover married Louise Day on February 10, 1958 in Taylorville and she preceded in him in death on May 27, 2001.  Also, preceded in death by two brothers, Nathan and Herbert “Jay” and three sisters, Joan, Betsy and Linda.

He served as a marksman in the US Army.  He loved to fish, go to auctions and his dog, Baby.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Ball and Sheila (Damon) Rothert; one son, Dwayne Sargeant; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill, Ron and Don; one sister, Cheri Boggs; several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
