George “Tom” Lederbrand, 86 of Pawnee passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at Carriage Crossing in Taylorville.
He was born March 2, 1938 in Rochester, the son of Merle and Madeline Adams Lederbrand. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Eugene, Wayne and Stanley Lederbrand; three sisters, Mary Ellen and Evelyn Lederbrand and Patsy Lou Scott.
Tom married Maxine Clark on October 17, 1959 in Chatham.
Tom served in the U.S. Army. He was a State Commander for AMVETS Post 61. He was a member of Pawnee Prairie Days Committee and Horse Creek Cemetery Board. Tom was a farmer all his life. He loved to visit with everyone as many know from the Friday night fish wagon. He raised turkeys and made sausage for his friends.
Surviving are his wife, Maxine; two daughters, Kristle (companion, Tory Wilson) Williams and Tonya (Mike) Gudgel; one grandson, Logan (Kim) Williams; one great-grandson, Hudson Williams; two sisters-in-law, Lana Lederbrand and Jane Lederbrand; brother-in-law, Don Thompson; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10am till time of services at 11am, Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Bramley Funeral Home, 150 Reichert Rd, Divernon. Burial will be in Horse Creek Cemetery, Pawnee
