Obituary
Florence “Flo” McDonald Gahr, 101 went home to be with our Father, Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Heritage Manor in Staunton.
She was born April 3, 1922 in Franklin, KY the daughter of William and Norma Hankins Carter.
Flo married Marshall McDonald and he preceded her in death. She later married Harry Gahr and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her seven siblings.
She was retired from Horace Mann as a Senior Underwriter. Flo was a member of the Auburn Nazarene Church.
Flo is survived by her three children, Barbara (Tia Simms) McDonald, Bill (Kate) McDonald, and Marshall “Bunny” (Helen) McDonald; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am till time of service at 11:30 am, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn with Rev. Mike Harney officiating. Burial will follow in Auburn Cemetery. A dinner will follow at Bramley Funeral Home Reception Center located at 150 Reichert Road in Divernon.
Memorials may be made to Auburn Nazarene Church.
