Esther J. Hensley

Esther J. Hensley, 75 of Pawnee passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital.

She was born October 12, 1943 in Peoria, the daughter of Kurt and Dora Schoolman. She married William R. Hensley, Jr. on November 24, 1963 in Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, William Clay Hensley, and her husband.

Surviving are her daughters, Melanie (Kevin) Lindsey of San Antonio, TX and Janel (Paul) White of Pawnee; eight grandchildren, Morgan, Hannah, Adam, and Tessa Lindsey and Caleb, Colby, Logan, and Mariah White; one great grandchild, Zane Lindsey; eight siblings, Albert (Delores) Schoolman of Metamora, IL, Anita Reed of Putnam, IL, Ruth (Charles) Erbach of Kimerling City, MO, Erna Stoens of Mossville, IL, John (Joyce) Schoolman of Creve Coeur, IL, Robert (Sharon) Schoolman in Dunlap, IL, MaryAnn Wildman of St. Louis, MO, and Martha Davis of Round Lake, IL; several nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Pawnee Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the Pawnee Food Pantry or Memorial Medical Center Foundation in care of Cancer Patient Assistance.
