Elmer Lee Neal, Sr.

Elmer Lee Neal, Sr., 84 of Pawnee passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born April 26, 1937 in Springfield, IL, the son of Elmer Raymond and Marie Alstott Neal.  He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother and one sister, Marvel Landers.

He married Sharon Goyke on July 23, 1988.

Elmer served in the U.S. Marine Corp.  He was a custodian and bus driver for the Pawnee School District for many years.  He served on the Pawnee Fire Department and the Pawnee Township Board.  He also owned his own cleaning service for over 40 years.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon; one son, Elmer “Sam” (Martha) Neal; three daughters; Kesha (Janet Woelber) Neal, Meghan (Andrew Kamees) Neal, and Sarah (fiancé, Austin Harris) Neal; three grandchildren; Joshua, Aaron, and Rebecca.

Visitation will be from 5pm till 7pm, Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn.  Private burial will be at a later date in Horse Creek Cemetery, Pawnee.
