Elma Louise Sule

Elma Louise Sule, 99, died peacefully February 14, 2021 at Regency Care Center, Springfield IL. 

She was born July 21, 1921, in Auburn, IL, the oldest daughter of Glenn and Elizabeth (Ryder) Dobbs. 

She married Gabriel “Gaby” Sule on March 14, 1948 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1996.  Also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Colby and a son, Michael Jay Sule.

Elma graduated from Auburn High School, class of 1939.  Elma and Gaby lived throughout the midwest, settling in Auburn, IL.  She worked alongside her husband at the Auburn Locker.  She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, playing cards and spending time with family. Elma cherished visits from her dear friends, Jaime and Gail. She always expressed love, a bit of sass and a lot of resilience.  She maintained her wittiness and shared her stories and memories up to the end.

She is survived by one son, David Earl Sule (Carol Nardi), 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 10am till time of services at 11 am, Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn.
