Elaine Conkle, 75 of Springfield, formerly of Auburn passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025.
She was born on March 20, 1950 in Rosiclare, IL; the daughter of Jesse J and Ruth E (Clarke) Lampert. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Radford J “Rusty” Lampert, Jeffrey P Lampert, and Tommy D Lampert; two sisters, Christina Lampert and Deborah (Lampert) Tucker; mother and father-in-law, Albert P and Lorene Conkle; and one grandson, Neil Alexander Forestier.
She worked as a technician in the engineering department and then in the molding shop at Dickey-john Corp for over 20 years. Elaine then worked as an electronic technician for Illini Technology for several years before retiring.
Elaine loved music and went to many live concerts with her daughter. She loved everything Elvis. She was creative and artistic, with a keen eye for design and decorating, often adding lace or other embellishments to dresses and clothing or arranging her special collections in creative ways. She loved Jesus and attended the Catholic church for most of her adult life. She was kind, loved to joke around with people and always tried to help people in little ways throughout her days.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal (Kelly) Forestier; three sisters, Shirley McIver, Emily Sue (Tim) Tucker and Rebeccah (David) Williams; three brothers, Stephen Lampert, Kenneth Lampert and Jonathan (Doris) Lampert; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10am till time of memorial services at 11am, Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn.
