Edward "Ed" A. Krell

Edward “Ed” A. Krell, 95 of Springfield passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 6, 1928 in Springfield, the son of William and Marie Kusch Krell.

Ed married Mary Louise Dickey in Pawnee on September 17, 1960.

Ed served in the U.S. Army.  He was a home builder.

Surviving are his wife, Louise Krell; two sons, Patrick (Kerri) Krell and Robert Krell; two grandsons, Brody Krell and Aaron Krell (deceased)

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, August 11, 2023 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating. Military honors conducted by Inter-Veterans Burial Detail.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2477 W. Washington St., Springfield, IL 62702.
