Douglas M. Herr

Douglas M. Herr, 54 of Marble Hill, MO, formerly of Chatham, IL passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026.

He was born December 26, 1971 in Springfield, the son of Charles and Katherine (Rayhill) Herr.

Doug graduated from Springfield College and University of California, Berkley.  He was a very kind and loving person.  He enjoyed traveling, reading and music.

Surviving are his parents, Charles and Katherine “Kay” Herr; one sister, Jean (Tom) Russell; two nieces, Sarah and Katie, and several cousins.

Private family services will be held.  Burial will be in Cumberland Sugar Creek Cemetery, Glenarm.

Memorials may be made to the Chatham United Methodist Church, 104 W. Chestnut St., Chatham, IL 62629.
