Obituary
Dorothy L. Evans, 87 of Divernon passed away Wed., Feb. 23, 2022 at her home.
She was born Sept. 21, 1934 in Independence, KS, the daughter of Lloyd and Beth Wilson Dambacher.
Dorothy married William Evans Jr. in Springfield on July 17, 1953 and he preceded her in death on August 4, 1997. Also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerold Dambacher; and great grandson, Tyler Dean Evans.
She was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church in Divernon.
Surviving are her son, Mike Evans of Scottsdale, AZ; three daughters, Connie Newenham, Gail Evans, and Ann Haynes all of Divernon; four grandchildren, Shawn Evans, Nate Beckman, Shannon (George) Piazza, Chenell (Nick) Rodriguez; eight great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Dambacher; two nieces, one nephew, and many cousins.
Visitation will be Mon., Feb. 28, 2022 from 10 am till time of memorial service at 11 am with Rev. Bobby Davis officiating at Bramley Funeral Home in Divernon. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church/Food Bank in Divernon or Divernon Fire Department/EMTs.
