Donna Boyd

Donna Boyd, 71 of Pittsfield, formerly of Virden passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

She was born August 28, 1953 in Peoria, the daughter of Joseph and Donna Roach Ward.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and step-father, Arthur Johnson.

Donna loved spending quiet nights at home with her four cats watching Animal Planet and Lifetime Movie Network.  She enjoyed spending time painting, doing ceramics, gardening and listening to the birds in the springtime.  She also loved baking and decorating for Christmas, spending time with her family.  Donna was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan.  She also loved to meet new people and hear their stories.

Surviving are her son, William Boyd; four siblings, Joe (Mona) Ward, Steve (Ann Marie) Johnson, Mark Johnson (Anne Marberry-Johnson) and Janene (Andy) Van Bebber; honorary grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Visitation will be from 10am until time of memorial services at 11am, Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Auburn with Rev. David Van Bebber officiating.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Waverly Cemetery.
