Donald “Sonny” B. Dudley, 84 of Auburn passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Sunrise Skilled Nursing in Virden.
He was born Sept. 12, 1935 in Pleasant Plains, the son of Sammy and Brucille Roberts Dudley.
He married Louise Jensen on April 20, 1963. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, George Austif and one brother, Ray Dudley.
Sonny served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. He was a member of the Meadowbrook Baptist Church. He was a farm hand for Tim Seifert and Charles Thornton for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Louise; three children, Laura (David) Carter, Todd (Lisa) Dudley and Jared (Nicki) Dudley; grandchildren, Lindsey (Andrew) Wright, Lacey (Tyson) Birk, Ryan (Cassi) Dudley, Abigail (Jacob) Drainer and Sophia Dudley; four great-grandchildren; sister, June Kendall; two half-brothers, Ed Austif and Dan Austif; several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at Auburn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
