Debbie Lucas, 72, of Farmersville, Illinois, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at her home in Farmersville.
Born on May 14, 1953 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, she was the daughter Roger and Grace Brown.
Debbie attend St. Isidore Grade School and graduated from Raymond Lincolnwood High School in 1971.
She married Larry Lucas on December 1, 1972 at St. Mary’s Church in Farmersville, and was a loving wife to Larry for 53 years.
She was the proud mother of five children, Chad (Rebecca) Lucas, Darren (Jill) Lucas, Jill (Landon) Hayes, Blake (Lenee) Lucas and Todd (Jillian) Lucas; and ten grandchildren, Anna Lucas, Laura Lucas, Karson Hayes, Roslyn Lucas, Leo Lucas, Fiona Lucas, Juliet Lucas, Drake Lucas, Vincent Lucas and Naomi Lucas; and many nieces and nephews, all who survive.
Debbie owned and operated Art’s Motel & Restaurant with her husband Larry and parents Roger & Grace for nearly 25 years. She was also employed at SIU School of Medicine for 15 years, where she served as the Residency Coordinator.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Farmersville.
In addition to Larry, children and grandchildren, she is survived by sister Elizabeth Brown, and sisters-in-law Connie Brown and Patti Brown. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Mark Brown and Jeffrey Brown.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Church at 310 Nobbe St., Farmersville, Illinois on Sunday December 7, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Farmersville on Monday December 8, 2025 at 11:00 am, with burial following at St. Martin’s Cemetery in Farmersville.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Debbie at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Farmersville following the burial.
Memorials may be made to the Farmersville Revitalization Committee, St. Mary’s Parish, or Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois.
