Cynthia Ann Fischer

Cynthia Ann Fischer, lovingly called ‘Catfish’, 61 of Springfield passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. 

She was born April 3, 1961 in Chicago and moved to the Springfield as a young girl.  She is preceded in death by her parents,  Ralph and Penny Lee Fischer. 

Cindy graduated from Glenwood High School.  She retired from Horace Mann Insurance Co.

Cindy was a beloved mom, nana, and friend.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheyanne (David) Richardson and Taylor Hinds; two grandchildren, David, Jr and Payton Ann; one brother, Allen Fischer; one sister, Rebecca (Markell) Strumpher; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2pm till 5pm, Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 at the Firefighters Postal Lake Club, 940 W Lake Shore Dr, Springfield.

Memorials may be made to the Animal Protective League, 1001 Taintor Rd, Springfield, IL 62702.
