Chance Kodatt, 29 of Auburn passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born July 28, 1992 in Springfield, IL the son of Vince and Jane Pearson Kodatt. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Charles Pearson and Larry Davenport; grandmother, Judy Davenport; two aunts, Becky Hardas and Melissa Jones; two uncles, Paul Kodatt and Bob Hardas.
Chance worked for McDonald’s, Ashley Furniture, Dowson’s Farms, CHS, and most recently was a truck driver for FedEx.
Chance enjoyed watching NASCAR every Sunday. His favorite drivers were Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliott. He was known for bantering with anyone and everyone regarding politics. He loved fishing, country music, mowing his lawn, his guns, his truck, the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Blues and Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed helping other people.
Surviving are his parents, Vince and Jane Kodatt of Auburn; three siblings, April (Kyle) of Virden, Brandon (Amber) Kodatt of Auburn, and Devin Kodatt of Auburn, grandmother, Magel Pearson of Taylorville, three nephews, Jeremiah, David and Ethan; one niece, Ailiana; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 4pm till 7pm at Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn. The family has requested casual attire be worn. Services will be Friday at 10am at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Balog. Burial will follow in Auburn Cemetery.
