Carolyn Clark Obituary

Carolyn Marie Clark (Reynolds), 84, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Carolyn was born on December 20, 1941, to Claudia and Hershel Reynolds in Springfield, Illinois. She devoted her life to caring for those she loved. She was the beloved wife of William David “Dave” Clark, with whom she shared a life centered on faith, family, and love.

A devoted homemaker, Carolyn found her greatest joy in raising her children, Bryan and Kimberly, and creating a loving home. Active in her church, she faithfully joined in it’s activities. She often organized family gatherings and celebrations, making others feel remembered and loved. Her kindness showed in small gestures, from holiday decorating to heart felt cards. Carolyn found great joy in traveling with Dave. Together they explored the world, experienced different cultures, and created countless memories, including many trips through John Deere’s travel program. They also looked forward to annual family vacations, introducing their children to new places across America. Their love of people and other cultures led to them opening their home to an exchange student from Germany, named Uli, who quickly became affectionately known as their German Daughter. What began as a student exchange, grew into a lifelong friendship between both families. Over the years, the Clarks and Muchenbergers shared many visits between Germany and the United States, deepening the bond. Carolyn also had a lifelong love of music, especially the songs of Elvis, which always brought a smile to her face.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Clark of Worthington, Minnesota, daughter-in-law, Shelley, grandchildren, Samantha, Noah, Preston, Carson; her daughter, Kimberly Philo of Melbourne, Florida, son-in-law, Jeffrey, and grandson, Alex; and her sister, Janet Morton and brother-in-law, Don.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William David “Dave” Clark, and her grandson, Bryan Dennis Clark, affectionately known as “Lil’ B.”

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
