Bill McAfee, 68 of Pawnee formerly of Auburn passed away January 29, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born October 11, 1955 in Springfield, the son of Donald E and Jeannette Anjoski McAfee. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Regina McAfee.
He married Diana Thrap on June 7, 1974.
Bill graduated from Auburn High School, where he excelled in track and still holds some track records. He and his father owned Kaiser Home Improvement in Jacksonville. He was an avid outdoor man and woodworker.
Surviving are his wife, Diana; one son, Kert (Emily) McAfee; one daughter, Nicole (Dave) Raman; three grandchildren, Jay, David and Anna; one sister, Pam (Greg) Boesdorfer; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held from noon till 2pm, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Edgewood Golf Course, 16497 Kennedy Rd, Auburn.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
