Beverly Elaine Kalaskie

Beverly Elaine Kalaskie, 88 of Springfield, formerly of Divernon passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 15, 1938, in Joliet, IL; the daughter of Clarence and Florence Munger Tolf.

Bev married Frank Kalaskie on August 10, 1968, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2020.  She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ed “Bud” Tolf and one daughter-in-law, Becky.

She was a member of Divernon United Methodist Church and Divernon Auxiliary.  Bev retired from the Illinois State Board of Elections as a microfiche specialist. 

Surviving are two sons, David Kalaskie and Michael (Shauna) Kalaskie; four grandchildren, David J., Nathan, Mikaela (Scott) Wheat and Sophie (Hayden) Hirschvogel; great-granddaughter, Hazel Hirschvogal; one nephew, Ed “Rusty” Tolf; one niece, Karen Uthoff; several great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 am till time of funeral services at 12 noon, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Bramley Funeral Home, 150 Reichert Rd, Divernon with Randy Sharp officiating.  Burial will follow at Brush Creek Cemetery, Divernon.
