Beulah F. Crouch, 97, of Girard, died Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
She was born Nov. 7, 1923 in Auburn, the daughter of George and Elsie Handy. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Carl, Dick and Kenny Handy.
She married Lloyd Crouch on Feb. 8, 1947 in Springfield.
Before her marriage, Beulah was employed at Sangamo Electic in Springfield. After the marriage, they moved on to 3 different farms where they spent their remaining years on the last one east of Waverly.
Beulah was a member of Modesto Christian Church, then when moved to Waverly area, joined Loami Christian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a key lady for many years at Lincoln Christian Nursing Home and later key lady at Memorial Christian Nursing Home. Some may know her as the lady who was a sales lady for the Hoky sweepers.
She enjoyed her role as a housewife and mother to her children.
Surviving are her husband, Lloyd; three children, Jim (Judy) Crouch of Girard, Tom (Nancy) Crouch of Loami and Carol Lloyd of Colorado; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Turner; brothers, Don (Margaret) Handy; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Loami Food Pantry or the Loami Christian Church.
