Betty J. Bentley

Betty J. Bentley, 82 of Springfield passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023 at her home.

She was born March 5, 1940 in Winchester, IL, the daughter of James and Mildred Peak King.

She married Harold Bentley, Sr. in 1958 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2020.  Also, preceded in death by three sisters, Charity Campbell, Lucy Roberts and Mary Dunaway.

Betty was a homemaker all her life.  She enjoyed gardening, baking and loved animals.

Surviving are one son, Harold “Kenny”(Becky) Bentley, Jr.; grandchildren, Ken, Brett and Brittany (Brandon) Fowler; great-granddaughter, Lennon; one brother, Robert (Judy) King.

Visitation will be from 12 noon till time of services at 1pm, Monday, March 6, 2023 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn with Danny Hill officiating.  Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
