Beatrice Yakus

Beatrice Yakus, 92 of Springfield passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Heritage Health.

She was born May 8, 1930 in Chatham the daughter of Frank and Margaret Snodgrass Halford.

She married Donald Yakus in 1950.

Beatrice was preceded in death by five siblings, Tom Halford, Mary Hobbs, Frank Halford, Johnny Halford, and Peggy Wilkins and her daughter in law Lori Yakus.

Surviving are her husband, Donald; one daughter, Kathy Sloan; one son, Kim (companion, Donna Beeman) Yakus; four grandchildren, Ruth Anne Elwanger, Clayton Elwanger, Samantha (Dan) Brown, and Adam (Meaghan) Yakus; five great grandchildren, Sydney, Ethan, Ayden, Liam and Lachlan; several nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside services will be held at Auburn Cemetery with Rev. Michael Madden officiating.
