Barbara Jean Jones

Barbara Jean Jones, 68 of Auburn passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.

She was born Nov. 30, 1953 in Springfield, the daughter of Edward and Irene Berndt Stroisch.

Barb married Alan Neal Jones in Sept. 5, 1976 and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2018.  Also, preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Chuck and Merle Stroisch.

She worked for Wells Fargo and Memorial Medical Center.  Barb was a member of a Wednesday night volleyball club at Auburn High School.  She loved fishing, crafting, garage sailing, genealogy, bird watching, gambling trips, traveling in general, spending time with her family, bingo and working on puzzles.  She enjoyed watching college basketball, football, Hallmark shows, HGTV and Food Network.

Surviving are two daughters, Melissa Jones of Auburn and Kimberly Jones of Chatham; one son, Matthew (Angelina) Jones of Springfield; one grandson, Cameron Huffines; 8 siblings, Gary (Margaret) Stroisch, Jim (Monica) Stroisch, Joe Stroisch, Kenny (Nancy) Stroisch, Shirley Messer, Tim Stroisch and Connie (Warren) Smith; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10am till 12 noon, Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn.  Private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Auburn Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to Auburn Special Olympics.
