Wayne Ellis

Wayne Ellis, 87, of Chatham passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Village, Girard.

He was born Aug. 24, 1929 in Lansing, MI the son of Erman and Frances Lewis Ellis.

He married Mildred Anderson on July 3, 1958 and she preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 2000.

Wayne served in the U.S. Army and he retired from Fiat-Allis.

Surviving are one son, Doug (Tracy) Ellis of Virden; one daughter, Vera Ellis; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl (Joanne) Ellis and three sisters, Edith Kunz, Ruby Ellis and Velma Dewitt; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. at Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn.  Additional visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. till time of services at 10 a.m. at the Chatham Christian Church with Rev. Rick Wenneborg officiating.  Burial will be in Chatham Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Chatham Fire and Rescue Squad.
