Staff Sergeant Patrick David Moose, 26 of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Auburn, died Sunday, Oct. 1 2017 of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.

Patrick was born Oct. 11, 1990 to David and Helen Moose of Auburn.

Patrick was a 2009 Auburn High School graduate where he played football, participated in band, the musicals, and scholastic bowl. He loved music, playing piano, percussion, acoustic guitar and had a very eclectic playlist.

Patrick was an Eagle Scout and member of Troop 73 of Pawnee. He attended LLCC, served as staff at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and in 2010 he joined the US Air Force and was an active member of 377 Air Base Wing stationed at Kirkland Air Force Base in ABQ, NM. He joined with the hope of traveling and never made it out of ABQ. But, being there he was able to enjoy all the outdoors – hiking, skiing, riding off-road motorcycles, and just having fun.

He was so loved and touched so many lives. He never met a stranger. He lived life to the fullest, was the ultimate jokester, loved his craft beer, his 18 year Glenlivet Scotch, and his family and friends. He leaves behind a great void.

Patrick is survived by his parents; two sisters, Anne and Elizabeth; his grandparents, Wayne and Jane Moose of Auburn and Marge Jorgensen of Springfield; several aunts and uncles; six cousins; and a band of brothers. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Elmer Jorgensen.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 1 till 4 p.m. at Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Benedict’s Church in Auburn, where he was a member, with Rev. James Palakudy and Deacon Denny Baker officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Air Force honor guard of which he was a member.

Memorials may be made to the Auburn High School Music Department.

Patrick will live on forever in our hearts and in those that he touched with his love and kindness. He will also live on in those who will benefit from his Gift of Hope donations. We love you Patrick.
