Russell W. McCarty

Russell W. McCarty, 78 of Auburn passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 5, 1939 in Springfield, IL the son of Virgil and Mildred Willoughby McCarty.

He married Darlene L. Gillmore on May 17, 1957 and she preceded him in death on Nov. 20, 2012. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herman and Phillip and one sister, Martha Daley.

Surviving are two sons, Joe McCarty and Randy (fiancée, Kimberly) McCarty; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till time of services at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn with Rev. Chuck Kurfman officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
