Robert “Bob” L. Blaum, 81, of Divernon passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at Auburn Nursing and Rehab.
He was born Jan 16, 1937 in Mason City, the son of Frederick and Emma Berns Blaum. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharla; one sister, Shirley Lohrenz and two brothers, Donald and Dale Blaum.
Bob served in the United States Army Reserve for 6 years and the Illinois Air National Guard for 16 years. He retired from the Illinois Air National Guard (183d Wing) as a Master Sergeant. He also was retired from the State of Illinois.
He was a member of the Divernon United Methodist Church, Pawnee Masonic Lodge, Ansar Shrine, Pawnee Order of the Eastern Star and the Pawnee American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Eva Mae; one son, Greg (Krista) Blaum of Wheaton; one granddaughter, Caroline Blaum; one brother, Jack Blaum of Bettendorf, IA; one sister, Rita Cole of Mason City and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:30am till time of services at 11am, Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn with Rev. Chuck Kurfman officiating. A luncheon will be held immediately following the services at the Divernon Masonic Lodge.
Memorials may be made to the Divernon United Methodist Church or Pawnee Masonic Lodge.
