Nettie Jean Edwards

Nettie Jean Edwards, 92, of Springfield passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Village, Girard.

She was born Nov. 19, 1924 in Cantrall, the daughter of Ralph and Martha Underwood Wilcoxon.

She married Harold V. Edwards on Jan. 6, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 1997.  Also, preceded in death by one brother, James Wilcoxon.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (Mike) Marean of Rockford and Linda (Don) Dufour of Auburn; one son, Harold (Dena) Edwards of Springfield; six grandchildren, Jason, Matt, Michelle, Denise, Mark and John; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Devan, Dakota, Mackenzie and Gracie; one brother, Nathan (Carol) Wilcoxon; one sister-in-law, Helen Wilcoxon; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will from 9am till time of services at 10am, Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at Auburn United Methodist Church with Chaplain Terry Link officiating.  Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield. 

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Village, Girard.
