August 7, 1947 ~ August 28, 2017 (age 70) 70 Years OldNancy Marie Lard Stark Minor, 70, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The youngest of three children, Nancy was born on August 7, 1947 to the late Ruby Arlene and James Odes Lard of Auburn, Illinois. She attended Auburn High School where she was a cheerleader and played clarinet. Nancy was a hairdresser, waitress, and cashier during her life. A long time resident of the Chicago area, she spent her later years in Kenosha, Wisconsin where she enjoyed gardening, and caring for her beloved dogs and cats. Nancy was always a free spirit. She was a great cook, had a beautiful singing voice, loved music, and enjoyed sewing.
Nancy is survived by her five children, and five grand-children. Daughter Tamera Stark of LaPorte, Indiana, and sons Timothy Stark of Fort Worth, Texas, Tristan Stark of Grove City, Ohio, Derek Dominguez of Chicago, Illinois, and Devin Minor of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Grand-children include Stephanie Plummer, Jeremiah Plummer, Hayley Plummer, Brenden Vaupel, and Christabella Vaupel. She is also survived by her brother Lynn Laird, his wife MaryAnne, their children Lance Laird and Jason Laird and also niece Jaimi Lard, nephew Cory Laird, along with many other extended family and friends.
Nancy loved her family intensely.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jim Lard and Arlene Lard, and older brother Larry Laird.
A graveside service will be held at Stout Cemetery in Chatham on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Steve Smith officiating.
