Mary Elizabeth Rhodes

Mary Elizabeth Rhodes, 67 of Pawnee, formerly of Auburn passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2019 at her home.

She was born Dec. 7, 1952 in Springfield, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Hutton Gillmore.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Darlene McCarty, Jean Rhodes and Linda Bearden.

She married Robert Rhodes on Oct. 25, 1974 and just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.

Mary enjoyed time camping, fishing, spending time with family, dancing with her husband, doing crafts and going to flea markets.  She had a very strong faith in Jesus. She was an activity director at several nursing homes.

 Surviving are her husband, Bobby; five children, Brian (Jessica) Lomelino, Alisa (Scott) Lomelino, Jamie (Heather) Lomelino, Josh Rhodes and Jeremy Rhodes; twenty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her caregivers, Kellie Williamson and Jacob Burse.

Cremation rites were accorded. 

Visitation will be from 9:30am till time of memorial services at 11:30am, Friday, Dec. 20, 2019 at Bramley Funeral Home, Divernon with Rev. Eric Stillwell officiating.
