Lucille H. Murphy

Lucille H. Murphy, 91 of Farmersville passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 at Taylorville Care Center.

She was born May 3, 1925 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Bernie and Helen Lentz. She was preceded in death by parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

She married Kenneth Murphy on May 25, 1971.

Lucille worked at Hobbs Manufacturing for several years.  She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A.  Her and her husband resided on the family farm for several years.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth; three step-sons, William D. (Marilyn) Murphy, Ed (Diane) Murphy and Don (Diane) Murphy; one step-daughter, Karen (Wayne) Manson; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Bernadine Lentz.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church E.L.C.A., Farmersville.  Additional visitation will be from 9am till time of services at 10 a.m., Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to Farmersville Fire Department or Alzheimer’s Association.
