Ina E. Warrington

Ina E. Warrington, 92, of Springfield/Pawnee passed away early Friday morning, August 25, 2017 at St. Joseph Home in Springfield.

Ina was born on June 30, 1925 to Henry and Ottilia (Hauer) Borman in Carlinville.  She graduated from Carlinville High School in 1942 and Brown’s Business College in 1944.  She married Joseph R. Warrington July 5, 1948 in Carlinville.  He preceded her in death on April 11, 2006.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

Ina was a homemaker and worked as a secretary at Ball Elementary School.  She was a member of the Glenarm Community Club, Home Extension, St. John’s Ladies Guild, and St. John’s Lutheran Church.  She and Joe were engaged in farming and she loved to garden, especially flowers.

Ina is survived by one daughter, Gloria (Bob) Dickey of Gibson City; one son, David (Susan) Warrington of Overland Park, Kansas; two grandsons, Matthew and Luke Dickey; two granddaughters, Allison O’Hara and Lindsay Warrington; 7 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Midge Warrington of Divernon; many nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside services will be held Monday, August 28th at Brush Creek Cemetery, Divernon.  Guests will be received at 10 a.m. till time of services at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chatham on Monday, August 28th with Pastor Clarence Rogers officiating.
