Gracie Parker Carter Marr

Gracie Parker Carter Marr, 98, of Auburn went to her heavenly home on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Heritage Health.

She was born Feb. 26, 1919 in Greensburg, KY, the daughter of Clel and Ella Nunn Parker.

She married Ozo Carter and he preceded her in death in 1948.  She later married Clayton Marr and he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1998.

Surviving are two sons,  Ray (Bonnie) Carter of Pawnee and J.C. (Lora) Marr of Auburn; nine daughters, Velma Cooley of Jacksonville, Laverne Huffman of Jackson, MS, Nettie Harmon of Chatham, Jean (Jim) Wiegand of Springfield, Brenda (Jim) Beckman of Jacksonville, Sandy (Steve) Franklin of Taylorville, Janice (Tom) Mcleod of Taylorville, Shelia Swick of Auburn, Regina Flowers of Springfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ola Mae Quisenberry of Greensburg, KY;  several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn.  Services will be at Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Aaron Griffith officiating.  Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
