Edward Peregrin, 94, of Divernon passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 3, 1923 in Thayer, the son of John and Mary Krehlik Peregrin.
Edward married Elsie Burnoski on April 7, 1951.
He served in WWII in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie; one son, Gene (Gwen) Peregrin of Chatham; one daughter, Monica Peregrin of Divernon; two grandchildren, Kiel (Amanda) Peregrin of St. Louis, MO and Kelsey (John) Chisam of Springfield; four great-grandchildren, Miriam and Jack Peregrin and Johnathan and Jaimsley Chisam; one brother, Larry (Dorothy) Peregrin of Virden; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5pm till 7pm, Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 at Bramley Funeral Home, Divernon. Funeral Mass will be at 10am, Tuesday at St. Benedict’s Church in Auburn with Rev. James Palakudy. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery, Divernon with Military Honors conducted by Auburn VFW and American Legion.
Memorials may be made to Divernon American Legion or Divernon Fire Department.
