Dorla D. Reavis

Dorla D. Reavis, 82, of Divernon passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 1, 1934 in Havana, the daughter of Raymond and Ruth Griffin Shores.  She was preceded in death by two sisters and one grandson, Neil.

She married Harry Reavis in 1953 and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2017.

Dorla was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary for over 35 years.  She worked for Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rettberg for 18 years.  In 1984, Dorla was employed as the head librarian of the Divernon Township Library and after 20 years in 2004 she retired as head librarian but stayed on as the assistant librarian.

Surviving are two daughters, Christy (Jim) Leahy of Glenarm and Rhonda (Artie) Lennon of Greenleaf, WI; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2pm, Monday, June 19, 2017 at Brush Creek Cemetery, Divernon with Rev. Chuck Kurfman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Divernon Township Library.
