Bill E. Luckhart

Bill E. Luckhart, 92, of Springfield passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2017 at Regency Care.

He was born Nov. 1, 1924 in Springfield, the son of Lorenz and Gladys Kischeskey Luckhart.

He married Mildred Dare McCrady on Sept. 29, 1948 and she preceded him in death on June 24,1994.  He was also preceded in death by one step-daughter, Mildred Turner; one brother, Bernard Luckhart and one sister, Alta Barbee.

Bill served in the U.S. Army for 3 years during WW II.  He retired from CIPS after 38 years.

Surviving are two step-sons, Charles (Rose) McCrady and R. Kenneth (Joan) McCrady; two step-daughters, Wilma Parkhurst and DeEtta Hadley; twenty-two grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.                            

Celebration of Life will be from 1pm till 3pm, Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at Southern View Community Center, 3410 South 5th Street, Springfield.  Bill will be buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
