Betty Wilson, 90, of Divernon passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at her home.
She was born Jan. 8, 1928 in Girard, the daughter of Alfred and Reba Thompson Ferrel.
She married Paul Wilson and he preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Abrams and brother, James Ferrel.
Betty was a professional award winning quilter. She donated many of her quilts and other items to charitable organizations. She worked for the Divernon Township Library and was an election judge. She was an active member of the DAR. She was a lifetime member of the TRN Club and she also belonged to various quilt clubs.
Surviving are three sons, Rick (Connie) Marx, Doug (Linda) Marx and Larry (Lynn) Marx; three daughters, LuAnn (George) Mattern, Tracey (companion, Jerry) Oldridge and Lori (Ron) Moon; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be from 1pm till 4pm, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the TRN Club, 25 Lakewood Dr., Chatham, IL.
Private family burial will be at a later date in Macoupin Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, St. Louis, MO.
