Betty J. Hughes

Betty J. Hughes, 95 of Springfield passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.

She was born May 24, 1922 in Divernon, the daughter Thomas and Margaret Hall Thomas.

She married Thomas Hughes on Feb. 2, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 1993.

Surviving are her son, David (Lenora) Hughes; two granddaughters, Katie and Peggy Hughes; and two nieces.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield with Rev. Robert Green officiating. 

Memorials may be made to Animal Protective League.
