L. Carl Ferrero, Jr.

L. Carl Ferrero, Jr., 77 of Okeechobee, FL formerly of Virden passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born October 6, 1940 in Springfield, the son of Louis and Glenna Moore Ferrero, Sr.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tony Ferrero and a sister, Luann Bertolino.

He married Bonnie Kazenski on February 6, 1960.

He was a member of the brick layers union for 60 years.

Surviving are his wife Bonnie; one daughter, Andrea (Ken) Violet of Auburn; three grandchildren, Erica (Roger) King, Aaron (Danielle) Hemberger and Chris Violet; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. till time of services at 11 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at Bramley Funeral Home with Rev. James Palakudy officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Virden Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Auburn Emergency Squad or Memorial Cardiology Department c/o Memorial Medical Center Foundation.
