John M. Dozier

John M. Dozier, 77 of Pawnee passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital.

He was born June 19, 1939 in Divernon, the son of Henry and Lena Anderson Dozier.

He married Brenda J. Eyer on Dec. 3, 1960 and she preceded him in death on July 7, 2014.

John served in the U.S. Navy.  He was retired from Freeman United Coal Mine Co, Crown III in Farmersville.

Surviving are three sons, John Edward (Lisa) Dozier of Pawnee, Jeffrey Wayne (Karen) Dozier of Petersburg and Michael Shane (Kim) Dozier of Glenarm; eight grandchildren, J.D., Emily, Ben, Cody, Dylan, Paige, Grace and Jensen; one great-granddaughter, Adele; six sisters, Mary Gilbert of Pawnee, Helen Fritzgerald of Decatur, Martha Nation of Riverton, Betty Schroeder of Bloomer, WI, May (Irv) Eyer of Pawnee and Pauline (John) Peebles of Laughlin, NV; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 pm till 7 pm, Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at Bramley Funeral Home, Divernon.  Services will be at 10:30 am, Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Moats officiating.  Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery, Divernon.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pawnee Food Pantry.
