I am very sorry for your loss I am praying for families peace and strength during this difficult time. I just wanted to share Psalm 37:18- "he is near to those broken-hearted".
Again my condolences.

"Mr. Akers" was one of my mentors early in my years in the Investment Dept. at Franklin Life (1970-1997). I will remember him as one of those very few really "good guys" you will meet in your life.

Ann I am so sorry to hear about John's passing! I remember vividly some of the stories John told during his POW experience! Especially why he didn't eat brown bread! A wonderful gentleman! Dan passed away February 25, 2017! I'm sure they are reminiscing about our fun trips together! Stay strong Ann!

Dear Ann and Family
We were so very sorry to hear about John. He lead an amazing life and was such a nice person. You always seemed so happy together.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

Ann, I always liked being on the committee when you hosted the PEO's. Your yard was always pretty and you were such a gracious hostess.

Sincerely,
Valorie and David Hofferkamp

Sending my sympathies and kind thoughts to all the Akers on the passing of John. He was an important part of my young years in Springfield—our neighbors meant everything to us, as did their kids who were our playmates and school chums. And of course most of all, I remember him coaching Bob and brother Tim in the olden days of Khoury League! Love to all.
