Herbert T. Millett

Herbert T. Millett, 86, of Springfield, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at St. John’s Hospital.
He was born March 30, 1926 in Batavia the son of Herbert and Vera Smith Millett.
He married Emmabelle Valentine on August 2, 1947 in Aurora.
Herbert was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryle Genovese, on February 19, 1999.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed as a truant officer for district 186 retiring in 1989.
Surviving are his wife, Emmabelle; two grandsons, Todd (Kelli) Beard of Auburn and Terry Beard of Springfield; four great grandchildren, Bryce, Ellison, and Emily Beard and Elizabeth Plessa; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. till time of services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Ellinger Kunz and Park Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Long officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Bramley Funeral Home, Divernon, is in charge of arrangements.
