Gertrude M. "Trudy" Watts

Gertrude M. “Trudy” Watts, 95 of Girard passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Village.

She was born May 14, 1921 in Wood River, IL, the daughter of Leo and Marzella Retzer.

She married C.J. Watts, Jr. on Feb. 21, 1948 and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1983.

Trudy owned and operated Melody Inn Restaurant and Watts Plumbing and Heating.

Surviving are two daughters, Faye A. (Jack) Leonard and Carol A. (George) Kruse both of Girard; two grandchildren, Tory J. (Shannon) Leonard and Lesley Rae (Tony Brockhouse) Kruse; three great-grandchildren, Camerin J. and Colton J. Leonard and Ayden M. Brockhouse; one niece, Judy Stilts.

No services are planned.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Memorials may be made to Girard Fire and Rescue.
