Carlene K. Brooks

Carlene K. Brooks, 72, of Auburn passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital.

She was born Dec. 14, 1943 in Springfield, the daughter of Clyde and Gertrude Garst Trimble.  Preceded in death by her parents, one half-sister and one half-brother.

She married Jerry Brooks on Aug. 19, 1972.

Carlene was employed by Franklin Life Insurance for several years and retired from the Secretary of State.

Surviving are her husband, Jerry; one daughter, Jennifer Boaz of Auburn; one son, Jason Brooks of AZ; one step-son, Scott (Debbie) Brooks of Carlinville; three grandsons; one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn.  Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home with Ken Allen officiating.   Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.
