Anita Mae Myers, 83 of Pawnee passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital.
She was born June 9, 1933 in Olney, IL, the daughter of Luther and Bernice Bowbey Toliver.
Anita married Dean Myers on April 15, 1954 and he preceded in death on March 16, 1990. Also preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Margaret Toliver, one granddaughter, Erika and son-in-law, Jerry Mowrer.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Gam and Mowie’s Cue. She was an avid reader and cookie baker. Anita enjoyed flowers, trips with her friends and spending time with her sister. Her family is grateful for all the love and amazing memories that we have shared over the years.
Surviving her are one daughter, Julia (Nick) Mowrer-Jannazzo of Rochester; two sons, Mark (Jennifer) Myers of Mt. Pulaski and Todd (Lori) Myers of Pawnee; seven grandchildren, Brandy (K.C.) Gorda, Jake (Angie) Blanton, Jayar (Lori) Myers, Alexandra (fiancée, Alex Flesch) Myers, Ashleigh (Josh) Walters, Luke Myers, Hayley Myers; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Makenzie, Madysen, Gage, Drew, Hadley and Delilah; one sister, Carol (Keith) Fouts of Princeton, IN; a niece and a nephew; best friend, Karen Lamotte.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn. Services will be at 10am, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
